The phone app

The phone app opens your synced vault to read. In this release it is a reader: editing, adding secrets, importing and attaching are switched off, because the phone cannot yet push changes back and an edit made there would be lost at the next sync. The app says so itself.

Setting up

1. Install the app and open it.
2. Enter the email address of your Claspt account and the code that arrives.
3. Type your master password. The vault appears.

If the master password is forgotten, the unlock screen’s Forgot password? accepts the recovery key.

What it does

• Pages, folders, tags and search.
• Secrets: reveal and copy.
• One-time codes for logins that hold a two-factor key.
• Images, encrypted or not; an encrypted image is opened in memory only and never written to the phone’s storage in the clear.
• PDFs listed by name with their comment.
• A pull that refuses data belonging to another vault, rather than mixing them.

What it does not do yet

Write. Editing from the phone comes when the phone can push safely; until then nothing you type on the phone is saved.
