Trash

Deleting a page moves it to the vault’s trash instead of removing it, however it was deleted: from the sidebar, the editor, search, in bulk, with its folder, or through the local API.

Undo and restore

• The notice after a deletion offers Undo.
• Settings › Utilities › Trash lists every entry with when it was deleted and when it will go. Restore puts the page back where it was.
• Delete now removes one entry for good; Empty trash removes all.

Retention

Entries are removed after a period you set under Settings › Security › Trash: 30 days to start, adjustable from 7 to 90.

Plainly

• Secrets inside a trashed page stay encrypted while it waits.
• The trash is on the device where the page was deleted. It is not synced and not searched.
• The trash covers deletion. Earlier versions of an edited page are in the page’s version history.
